Our city park consists of 14 acres of scenic beauty lying right next to the Upper Sacramento River among cedar, oak, and pine trees.

While you’re in Dunsmuir City Park, you will have the opportunity to see the work of dozens of dedicated volunteers who have developed the Dunsmuir Botanical Gardens.

In 1887, Alexander Dunsmuir, second son of British Columbian coal baron Robert Dunsmuir, was passing through Cedar Flat, about a mile south of the present town of Dunsmuir.

There are newer grandstands for the home team and portable for the visiting team.

Dunsmuir City Ball Park is the home of the Dunsmuir High School Tigers baseball team.

The Dunsmuir Recreation and Parks District sponsors or supports a number of events to benefit our community.

Locomotive 1727 is a class M-6 Mogul built by Baldwin Locomotive Works in 1901.
